"Meet the Tutors" as we shine a spotlight on the incredible educators guiding our apprenticeship standards, paving the way for sports leaders. Today, we're delighted to introduce you to two remarkable individuals: 

• Becca Holl: Tutoring our Level 3 Business Administration & Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeships.
• Joanne Collins: Level 3 Team Leader, Level 5 Management & Leadership & Internal Verifier.
  
  

From Hospitality to Garden Designer and Back to Education, Meet Becca!

Becca's career path has been as varied as it has been inspiring. With two decades of experience leading and mentoring hospitality managers, she brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to her tutoring. "I really missed making a difference, nurturing meaningful impact, and sharing experience with young professionals," she said when talking about her return to teaching and entering the world of tutoring three years ago. "My goal is to develop critical thinking," she emphasises. "To help apprentices grow their businesses, expand their customer base, and ultimately achieve operational excellence."

When she's not inspiring future business leaders, Becca can be found getting her hands dirty as a Garden Designer, "Talking to Plants," she laughs, "It's a good change of pace from working two days per week tutoring." 

Empowering Leaders for the Future, Meet Joanne!

With an impressive 17 years of experience as a Team Leader and Management and Leadership tutor, Joanne has a proven track record of success.

"I pride myself on offering a supportive and well-rounded training experience," she says. "It's not just about the qualification; it's about empowering learners for future success."

Joanne's commitment to her learners is evident in their personal and professional growth, having helped all her Level 5 Management and Leadership learners (16 in total) successfully pass with a Distinction grade. "I enjoy having an impact on my learners", she emphasises, "and to leave them feeling confident and ready to be the best leaders they can be."

Beyond the Classroom...

Becca's guilty pleasure outside of her tutoring and gardening is binge-watching medical documentaries, especially the "the more gruesome" ones such as Surgeons ‘At the Edge of Life’ which links to one of her other passions, medicine.
